Compelling reasons why the Bible is completely accurate and authentic


There were some lines of text we saw in the New Testament Gideons Bible during childhood days. Though they were not readily understandable, they are now clearer than ever before. Those words strongly echo the fact that the Bible is indeed the infallible word of God. Below is the text from the NT Gideons Bible which many people might be familiar with. These words might be well-known to us already, but have some time to ponder them critically. Enjoy.

The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers.

 Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.

 Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy.

 It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.

 It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter.

 Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed.

 Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end.

 It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet.

 Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully.

 It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.

 It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever.

 It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

Moreover, the Bible says ''All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness'' - 2 Timothy 3:16. The Bible is certainly God's life manual to man, and particularly, His Children.

Interestingly, the Bible was written by about 40 men in different generations (though some were contemporaries), but their messages have been consistent. The Bible has stood the test of time and malevolent plans aimed at damaging its content and making it unavailable for men to access. But as they say, no one can foil the plan of God! #ReadYourBible.

Emperor Tewodros II ruled over Ethiopia from 1855 till his death in 1868. His rule brought considerable development and change to the military and the structure of governance such that his era is described as the beginning of Modern Ethiopia. He was born in 1818 and became king at the age of 37. His father Hailu Welde Giyorigis was the ruler of the Qwara district.
