Level 400 KNUST student sadly passes away
The deceased, Mr Emmanuel Bugyei |
Until the icy hands of death reached for Mr Emmanuel Kwabena Bugyei, he was a final year student in B.Sc. Geomatic Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
His sudden death came as a big blow to family and friends who have been deeply traumatized and wondered why the life of their beloved son and associate would end so abruptly.
According to a brother of the deceased, Emmanuel returned from a church vigil service on Saturday and was hale and hearty as usual. Later in the day, he complained of shortness of breath and was thus assisted to the Taifa Polyclinic to seek medical attention. But unfortunately, while at the hospital, he went to meet his Maker, around 6pm on Saturday July 27, 2019.
Emmanuel |
The cause of death was attributed to Asthma Attack – an incident wherein a person who suffers intermittent experiences of bronchio-constriction undergoes such an experience, usually with a sudden onset.
Before Emmanuel gained admission into KNUST in 2016, he completed Labone senior high school where he read General Science, Geography option.
Emma as CASA KNUST Organizer |
He was the organizing head for the Christ Apostolic Students' Association, CASA-KNUST, where he served passionately.
His friends describe him as a humble, sociable and peaceful person.
Mr Emmanuel Degraft Amaning, a very close pal of the deceased, who also doubles as the president of CASA-KNUST said this about him, "My brother was a very good person. Throughout my life, from JHS to the university, I've been with him; we always did everything together. He was selfless for the work of God, and also passionate about studies."
Death is an inevitable end, but to 'go too soon' is what most people term "What a shock!"
